If it’s good enough for Paris, it’s definitely show-worthy in Geneva as well. But more importantly, if they start building this thing already, it’s going to be amazing.
The Citroen DS Divine Concept was definitely one of the best looking cars at the 2014 Paris Auto Show. They said it doesn’t represent a specific vehicle but rather the DS brand’s future styling direction.
As of right now, DS products and Citroen products are still painfully similar. Even the fancy DS5 – it looks like a Citroen, feels like a Citroen, drives like a Citroen.
In order for the DS brand to flourish, it has to deliver what it has already promised. Premium quality. Safe to say, we’re still waiting on them to deliver just that.
And if whatever they come up with ends up looking like this, then we’ll be really impressed. The DS Divine Concept looks like the ultimate luxury compact hatchback, and to be honest, it wouldn’t be a bad start – since it’s always a good idea to start from a lower segment and build your way up to mid-size, crossovers, full-size and so on.
As for power, nothing has changed since October. We’ve got a 1.6 liter turbocharged petrol engine with 270 PS and 330 Nm of torque driving the front wheels.
Which is fine, except for the fact that we’d much rather have all-wheel drive in a future production model.
