The all-new Mercedes GLE Coupe-SUV is the only other vehicle of this type currently on the market, aside from the now familiar (but equally new) BMW X6. Now that the German pricing information for the GLE Coupe is out, we can compare the two and draw preliminary conclusions as to which is a better deal.
The GLE starts off at €56,050 in GLE 350 d 4MATIC and by the time you reach the GLE 63 AMG S, you’re looking at a starting price tag of €105,450.
All cars come with plenty of standard equipment, including a driving mode selector, sports seats clad in ARTICO leather, 20-inch wheels, electric tailgate operation and a reversing camera on top of all the usual things you’d expect at this level.
As far as safety goes, the GLE gets standard stability control with Dynamic Cornering Assist and Crosswind assist too.
All models can obviously be specified to your heart’s content, with AMG bits, extra luxury bits or extra sporty bits, depending on what your plan is for the vehicle.
