As you may have heard, they named this thing 20V20 as in to say (Vision 2020) – revealing both the company’s strategic vision for the future, as well as next years’ Leon-based compact SUV.
What makes the 20V20 Concept predictable? How about the fact that we can pretty much tell what their 2016 Geneva Motor Show-bound SUV will look like, simply by realizing that the 20V20 is a “big Leon“.
We wouldn’t be surprised if the front fascia remained unchanged, just like the profile of the car. The only details that aren’t something we see SEAT implementing into a production car anytime soon are the door handles and maybe the side mirrors too, as they’ll probably go with a more conventional design.
In fact, they’ve been using those door handles on their concept cars for the past couple of years now. Also, expect the rear of the car to change quite a bit since as of right now, it looks pretty darn cool.
Being honest, the 20V20 concept itself is a good looking compact SUV. It packs adaptive full-LED headlamps, lots of driver assistance systems as well as an array of potential TSI, TDI and plug-in hybrid units.
Seeing the car in these live images makes us realize it’s width will probably decrease too as it heads towards becoming a production vehicle. You can’t have your first sensible compact SUV looking like it’s ready to pounce on a Porsche Macan now can you?
