The Audi A7 and Porsche Panamera are very similar in size, weight and basic concept, even if the execution/style is quite different. EverydayDriver drove the two cars back to back to find out which is a better proposition as a used premium family car.
The Porsche evidently outclasses the Audi for cornering poise, but in the base V6 trim tested it loses out to the A7’s punchier supercharged unit.
However, despite being the sportier-feeling of the two, it’s actually the Porsche that has more rear headroom, though it lacks the Audi’s fifth seat.
Quality-wise, both examples are superb, although the reviewers say the design approach of the Porsche makes it feel more bespoke; they call the Audi’s interior Japanese-like due to the way it combines curves and sharp lines and corners.
The comparison is based around the idea that you can now get either of these cars for around $50,000 used.
