Porsche’s most track-focused Cayman ever, the GT4, has arrived in the hands of one of the most famous rally drivers of all time, Walter Röhrl.
The 1980 and 1982 world rally champion takes the Cayman GT4 for a spin on the racetrack and breaks it down into its four key components. For Röhrl, these include obviously the 380hp 3.8-liter engine, the aerodynamic kit consisting of the big wing at the back and the lip in the front, the chassis parts sourced from the 911 GT3 and the 20-inch Michelin semi-slick tyres.
All these elements work together to make the Cayman GT4 a well-balanced vehicle. Röhrl says the car is easy to drive and to adapt to for any type of driver. He also talks about the Porsche Track Position app, which helps drivers improve their skills on the track by comparing their lap times and figuring out which way to drive is the fastest.
