Creating special editions for BMW’s Japanese arm sounds like a fun job…or not. Take their new “BMW 3-Series M Sport Style Edge” that was made to celebrate the compact executive model’s 40th anniversary, for example.

In typical BMW Japan fashion, what they did is to choose certain already available options and build their “special” 3-Series.

In this case, it was the M Sport package with 18-inch wheels shod in 225/45 tires front and 255/40 tires rear, M Performance black kidney grilles and aluminum pedals, heated front seats and Individual Piano and Pearl Gloss Chrome finishes for the interior trims.

Oh, they also chose the Alpine White and Mineral Gray exterior colors and the plastic-y black Sensatec seats for you providing the option of black leather and presto; the 3-Series M Sport Style Edge is ready.

They offer it in the 320i and 320d sedan and Touring models, but don’t fret, as you can build the same package on any 3-Series you wish…
