We’re pretty much connected to everything these days (well, everything besides the road with electric steering systems…), so it comes to no surprise that Porsche is now connecting its new cars with the Apple Watch.
The sports carmaker from Stuttgart released an iOS App for the new Apple Watch through which you can not only connect, but also interact and control certain functions of some of their newer models like the Macan, Cayenne, Panamera and 918 Spyder fitted with a Porsche Car Connect unit.
Among other functions offered are the “My Car” that tells you how many miles you’ve covered and how much fuel you have left; “Car Finder” that shows your vehicle’s location on a map; “Remote” display that visualizes whether windows, doors, boot lid and sunroof are closed and “Force Touch” that allows you to lock the car. You can play with the horn and flash the lights too, if you feel like it.
If you have a hybrid model, you get additional functions like the one that lets you keep an eye on average electrical consumption and charge times.
The app is offered for free on the iTunes App Store
