Mazda has started building North America-bound 2016 MX-5 Miata at its plant in Japan and has announced pricing for the all-new roadster’s entire lineup.

The base 2016 Mazda MX-5 Sport has a starting MSRP of $24,915, excluding an $820 destination charge. Standard equipment includes 16-inch alloy wheels, a six-speed SKYACTIV-MT manual transmission, cruise control, LED headlights and taillights, Bluetooth phone pairing and audio streaming, leather-wrapped shift knob, power door locks, single USB input and cruise control.

The 2016 MX-5 Sport can also be equipped with an automatic transmission that is available for $1,075. Advanced Keyless entry costs and additional $130 (standard with automatic transmission).

As you already know, the 2016 MX-5 will arrive in the US with a Launch Edition that will include the first 1,000 vehicles sold in the country. Priced from $30,495 (excluding $820 destination), the MX-5 Launch Edition comes equipped with features reserved for the MX-5 Grand Touring trim, in addition to Advanced Keyless entry, which is optional in other trim levels.

All 1,000 Launch Editions are painted Soul Red with a Sport Tan leather interior – a combination exclusive to the Launch Edition for 2016. The only option for Launch Edition models will be the choice of a six-speed SKYACTIV-MT manual transmission or the six-speed automatic, the latter of which carries an MSRP of $31,570 (plus $820 destination).

As Mazda announced at the New York Auto Show, US buyers will also get the performance-focused MX-5 Club. Priced from $28,600 (plus $820 destination), the model gets 17-inch gunmetal alloy wheels, front air dam and trunk-mounted rear lip spoiler, piano black seat back bars and exterior mirror caps, Mazda Connect with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and commander control knob, as well as an AM/FM/HD/SiriusXM satellite radio with a nine-speaker BOSE audio system with headrest speakers.

Manual transmission models also get a limited-slip rear differential, Bilstein shocks and shock-tower brace as standard.

Finally, the range-topping MX-5 Grand Touring starts from $30,065 (excluding $820 destination). The model offers premium features and technology including leather-trimmed heated seats, automatic climate control, Homelink garage door opener, rain-sensing wipers and adaptive headlights, as well as Mazda’s i-Activsense suite of safety features including blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and lane-departure warning, among other features.
