The first and obvious talking point for the all-new Lexus RX is the styling. Of course, the same applies for other new production cars presented at the New York Auto Show, like the daring Nissan Maxima.
Like the Nissan, the Lexus is a continuation of the automaker’s pungent design statement; you either like it or you don’t, but at least they plan to be consistent with it in order to give the brand a better image/identity.
Thankfully, it’s not at all similar in proportions to its predecessor, and looks like a far more hunkered-down vehicle. Key features for this model are the safety gadgets; it has pretty much all the ones you could imagine, as Lexus wants to become a leader in this particular field, as it’s developing its own autonomous driving tech.
As with other major premieres at the NY motoring venue, it was extensively filmed at the event. A selection of such videos is posted after the virtual jump.
