We won’t have to wait until Monday and the Shanghai Auto Show for our first look at the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Concept after all, as images of the production-intent study broke out on the web.
The GLC Coupe is a direct rival to BMW‘s swankier-looking version of the X3, the X4, with Mercedes building their “four-door coupe” SUV on the GLK’s successor that will be renamed to GLC when it arrives later this year.
While these pictures that come to us courtesy of Carpassion aren’t of the best quality, it’s pretty clear that the GLC Coupe is a smaller format version of the larger GLE Coupe from…top to bottom and front to back, though, Mercedes did follow a different path with the stacked exhaust pipes, one that reminds us of Lexus’ “F” models…
It’s also obvious that the concept is very close to the production model that will be presented within the next year offering a similar powertrain lineup to the C-Class sedan.
H/T to Mauro!
