According to reports, Renault may reveal the new Alpine model at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in the form of a concept.

Renault’s plan of reviving the Alpine brand is well known, with the French company seeking to boost its image by creating a sports car to rival models like the Audi TT. The new concept could debut next month at Le Mans, with Carlos Ghosn investing 600 million euros in the brand, according to the original report from French magazine Challenges.

The same article mentions that the new Alpine will have up to 250hp and will cost between €30,000 and €35,000. The engine will be mounted at the rear, following the tradition of Alpine and the car will be manufactured at the Dieppe factory, in northern France.

Renault has refused to comment on the report. Alpine CEO, Bernard Olivier said in January that production at the factory will start at the end of 2016.
