Two months ago, Prior Design gave us a small taste of what their version of a Mercedes-Benz SLS should look like, and we loved it. It’s easy to win people over with a great looking widebody kit, right?
The aero kit is called PD900GTWB and it will make your SLS look like a lot like a GT3 race car. The last time we were this impressed with one of their designs, we were admiring this gorgeous Corvette Stingray, wearing a PDR700 widebody kit – simply stunning.
But so is the SLS, which has now officially become an underrated supercar, since everyone’s so gaga over the Mercedes-AMG GT. The PD900GTWB kit being worn by this SLS consists of a custom front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, front fender widenings, rear widenings, hood and a new trunk spoiler.
The customer can also get the new bits made from carbon if he so chooses. As for the cost, well, a “mere” €24,900 – for which you also get a set of forged 20×9/21×11 Rotiform SNA wheels, KW coilover suspension with a 35 mm draft and a custom exhaust system that will improve your power output by 40 PS.
There’s also a chiptuning improvement that adds another 30 PS and 40 Nm (29 lb-ft) of torque to your 591 PS Mad Merc.
Since this is already a 3 second car (3.7 seconds to 100km/h), we reckon the extra bump in power isn’t going to do much for you in-between stop lights. However, you just might see some improvements in your 0-200 km/h (124 mph) time, which normally would take about 11.2 seconds in the SLS.
