The Koenigsegg Trevita CCXR is essentially a limited edition of a limited edition hypercar, the CCXR Edition.
“Trevita” means “three whites” and refers to the carbon fibers which have been changed from the usual black hue to sparkling silvery white, especially for this model.
Only when approaching the car one realizes it’s all carbon fiber, but of an unusual white type. Built in a limited run of just three units, the Koenigsegg Trevita CCXR has recently visited Jay Leno’s Garage, accompanied by Christian von Koenigsegg, the man who founded the Swedish sports car manufacturer.
It’s an interesting video not just because Koenigsegg explains every little nut and bolt to Leno, but also because the comedian takes the Trevita for a drive with Koenigsegg in the passenger seat. With 1,018hp and 1,080Nm (796lb-ft) from a twin-supercharged 4.8-liter V8 engine, it was definitely a ride to remember. After all, it’s a car that reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 2.9 seconds and 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.75 seconds.
