The Lamborghini Aventador SV has pulled off a staggering sub-7 minute lap on the Nürburgring Nordschleife – 6 minutes and 59.73 seconds to be precise.
This is a remarkable result, considering that the Porsche 918 Spyder has set a lap time of 6 minutes and 57 seconds. The Lamborghini Aventador SV is therefore under 3 seconds slower than the much more expensive and exclusive hypercar.
Lamborghini set the time during development tests with Pirelli for the P Zero Corsa tyre and managed to beat the Nissan GT-R Nismo’s 7:08.69 lap from 2013 in the process.
As a result, the 740hp Aventador SV is now the fourth quickest production car on the Nürburgring, after the Radical SR8 LM, Radical SR8 and Porsche 918 Spyder.
