Lotus announced the prices of its latest and fastest model yet, the Evora 400.

With a mid-mounted supercharged 3.5-litre V6 delivering 400hp, the Evora 400 promises a “purer driving experience” being lighter (-22kg) and more powerful (+55hp) than the model it replaces.

Standard equipment includes the AP Racing 370mm brakes, a limited-slip differential, automatic air-conditioning and a navigation infotaiment system. The automatic gearbox costs an extra £2,000.

The options list features alcantara or leather trim for £2000, lightweight forged alloys also for £2000, cruise control for £300 and metallic paint for £900. Lotus also offers the option of the ‘Black Pack’ which has some body panels, including the roof, sills and centre section of the rear wing painted black for £1250.

The British company announced recently that the Evora 400 lapped its Hethel test track a whopping six seconds faster than its predecessor. Prices for the UK market start at £72,000 while for the US, the Evora 400 will cost $89,900 (excluding local sales taxes). German customers will have to pay €96,000 for it.

First deliveries of the fastest Lotus ever are expected to begin in August.
