This, ladies and gentleman, is an armored Conquest Knight XV, which can be yours for $799,950.
If you’re an important rich person who believes that a tank is not luxurious enough, then this is the truck for you. It weighs 8.8 tones and has a length of 5.500mm, a height of 2.160mm and it’s wider than a Lamborghini Aventador.
According to the official site, “Knight XV is an armored vehicle and not a vehicle that has been uparmored. Unlike most vehicles that are uparmored after-market, the Knight XV is manufactured as an armored vehicle from the ground up using top grade armoring materials”.
That’s because this truck isn’t really a Conquest Knight, but a full on armored law enforcement vehicle, hand-built in Canada. It’s called the Terradyne Gurkha and its main objective is to serve as a military machine. It comes with a type of armor that protects its occupants against RPG missiles. It also has cameras mounted everywhere so there’s no way someone could sneak up on you.
Conquest then takes the Canadian brute and tries to make it more appealing to the average scared celebrity, by filling it up with Playstations, iPads, leather and other infotainment systems.
The original Gurkha comes with hybrid powertrain, powered by a diesel engine and, when necessary, an electric motor. Its 6.7-litre V8 turbo-diesel boasts 300BHP and 894 Nm of torque. But Conquest gives you the chance to opt for a 6.8-litre V10 petrol engine which develops 326 BHP and 557 Nm. We don’t know exactly how thirsty the Conquest Knight XV really is, but its fuel tank capacity of 238 liters kind of puts thing into perspective.
