A very special pair of yellow Ferrari Testarossas is going to be offered in an auction at Silverstone, UK on May 23rd.
The two cars are fine examples of the model’s life cycle, with the oldest 1986 example to be one of the earliest and rarest of the breed and the 1994 one representing the final incarnation of the Testarossa series.
The early model features the famous ‘Flying Mirror’ and it was first delivered in Switzerland originally finished in white but was repainted early in its life in the Giallo Fly Yellow we see it now. The current owner purchased it in 2004 and registered it in 2006. This Ferrari Testarossa has covered 45,000 miles and comes with the original three piece luggage set and the original ‘80s Pioneer stereo. The price for it is estimated at between £80,000 to £100,000.
The newer model is a ’94 F512 M and is one of just 501 made worldwide. With two owners from new, this car was delivered new in the German market before it was sold by the first owner to Japan. The car has been recently returned with a comprehensive service history, a Tubi exhaust and 11,000 miles on the odometer. The later model’s price is expected to reach higher levels, between £280,000 and 330,000.
If you like your Testarossa red though, two more examples will be auctioned the same day, including a 1989 model painted in Rosso Corsa, estimated at between £120,000 and £140,000.
You can see the whole lot here where a very tempting selection of classics is on offer.
