There are only two days left until BMW will officially lift the veils off the all-new 2016 7-Series, but thanks to the company’s Austrian website, we now know more than we should have.
BMW Austria online configurator went online earlier than scheduled, giving us a look at the new 7-Series’ pricing and engine lineup, as well as offering some photos of the exterior and interior.
When it arrives in European dealerships in October 2015, the BMW 7-Series will offer three engine options: a new inline-six cylinder B58 engine with 326PS in the 740i (the same engine found in the facelifted BMW 340i), a twin-turbo V8 with 450PS in the BMW 750i xDrive and a new B57 inline-six cylinder diesel with 265PS in the BMW 730d.
Besides the engines, the configurator reveals the colors of the new 7-Series, which will be available in Alpine White, Carbon Black, Black Sapphire, Black College, Cashmere Silver, Glacier Silver, Imperial Blue, Sophisto Grey, Mineral White, Singapore Grey, Jatoba, Magellan Grey and Arctic Grey Brilliant effect.
Customers will also be able to customize their luxury sedan with 17-, 18-, 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels.
The configurator also unveiled some of the optional extras and interior gadgets, incuding the M Sport Package, adaptive all-LED headlights (a €1,800 extra in Austria), multifunction steering wheel, digital speedometer and more. Prices in Austria start from €100,445 (approximately $112,122) for the 730d, while the 740i has a starting price of €107,690 ($120,210).
