If it seems like BMW is releasing a special edition for Japan every couple of months, it’s because it is. Just on top my head, during 2015, they’ve announced limited edition versions of the M4, the 3-Series GT, the 3-Series sedan and probably a couple more we missed.
For June, BMW’s Japanese arm has announced the 5-Series Grace Line edition limited to 160 units. It gets an exclusive “Mineral Grey” metallic color (“Mineral White” is also offered) and dedicated 18-inch alloys, along with a selection of otherwise, optional cosmetic, technology and comfort features.
Other exterior goods include a matte-chrome finish double kidney grille, BMW Individual shadowline (for the window surrounds), Adaptive LED headlamps, and LED fog lights.
For the interior, the Grace Line 5er adopts sport front seats, Dakota leather upholstery in Oyster color, M Sport steering wheel finished in softer Nappa leather, a fully-digital instrument panel, window shades, model badging, plus Active Cruise Control and Lane Change Warning.
The limited edition is available as a 523i featuring a 2.0-liter turbo’d four gasoline engine from 7,200,000 Yen (~$57,900) and as a 523d with a 2.0-liter diesel from 7,430,000 Yen (~$59,700).
