The Forza Motorsport 6 trailer from E3 depicts what we already expected: a great game.
The automotive-eye candy in the trailer alone will leave petrol-heads like myself drooling on the keyboard, but knowing that the game will actually feature more than 450 customizable cars, it’s just too much awesomeness to handle.
In true Forza fashion, everybody expects most of the cars to be upgradable with outrageous options, swaps and tricks and I know Microsoft delivered, mainly because all of the cars will include the full ForzaVista experience, cockpits, working doors, engine views and full damage.
Furthermore, Forza now offers 26 world-famous locations on which you can compete online (or not) with a grid of 24 cars beside you. The possibility to drive at night with changing weather conditions it’s a very welcome feature and it’s all happening on a 1080p resolution at 60 FPS.
But let’s go back to the cars. The trailer depicts all sorts of vehicles, from the humble KTM X-Bow track-car to the Ferrari La Ferrari and everything in between: Zonda, Huayra, GT-R, Tesla Model S, Aventador and even a Brabham F1 car, a Maserati 8CTF and some LMP1 prototypes, like the Audi R18.
I know, I know; most of them were available as DLCs or from the start in Forza 5, but now you can race a ’57 Bel Air in the rain, at night, on Circuit de la Sarthe. Or a GMC Cyclone – just use your imagination; a Beetle with an LS swap?
It seems that Microsoft went for Ford’s upcoming GT model as the poster car for the game and it’s nice to know you can virtually drive a car that hasn’t yet debuted in series production.
But enough chit-chat, it’s time to take a look at the trailer and ogle at the photos. As always, the level of detail is astonishing.
