Following the hybrid version launched late last year, Honda has introduced the gasoline-powered Grace LX at dealerships across Japan.

The Honda Fit-based small sedan is equipped with a 1.5-liter direct injection i-VTEC gasoline engine mated to a CVT. The engine produces 132PS (130hp) at 6,600 rpm and 155Nm (114lb-ft) of torque at 4,600 rpm. Combined fuel economy is 21.8 km/L (4.6 l/100 km or 51.2 mpg US), according to the JC08 mode.

The Grace LX also gets a new color called Premium Crystal Red Metallic which combines a clear luster with a deep color tone.

Just like the Grace Hybrid, the LX model is said to boast similar rear seat space as the Accord Hybrid, thanks to a longer wheelbase and the placing of the rear seats at the rearmost possible position compared to the Jazz hatchback upon which the Grace is based. Furthermore, opening of the rear doors was enlarged to increase the accessibility.

The model is available both with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The base 2WD version is priced from 1,750,000 yen ($14,215), while the 4WD starts from 1,966,000 yen ($15,970).
