Even though talented image manipulator Theophilus Chin drew this as a joke, we sincerely hope something this tiny and awkward will never wear a real-life Porsche badge.
The artist said that he drew inspiration from the Zotye T700 (Chinese Macan clone) and that it reminded him of the Fiat 500X – on which this rendering is based.
First of all, we get it, it’s “just for fun”, but if there are any hardcore Porsche fans around, they might start getting more annoyed than those taxi drivers in Paris protesting against Uber.
Anyway, let’s not get too far off-topic, not that it’s particularly easy to talk about this “car”.
The Fiat 500X is clearly not a worthy benchmark for anything wearing a sporty/premium badge, and last time we checked, Porsche wasn’t planning on building anything smaller than a Macan in terms of SUVs or Crossovers.
In fact, I doubt they’d dare bring something like that up even during a board meeting and even if rival companies such as BMW, Mercedes and so on are really keen on selling us their X1s and GLAs.
In conclusion, odds are you’d actually choose to drive that Zotye T700 Macan clone over something like this, since at least the clone looks more like an SUV, while this looks more like something you buy for your toddler.
