Since we first saw the twin-turbo Mercedes C63 S AMG being revealed, we have been waiting for the first comparisons to show up against the BMW M3.
After all, this is one of the hottest rivalries of the industry and the switch to turbocharging for both of them means that the balance between the two super-saloons could prove more fragile than ever.
Performance figures give the edge to Mercedes, with the C63 S AMG packing 503hp and 516lb ft of torque against M3’s 425hp and 406lb ft but then weight has always been a big factor with the BMW proving to be 95kg lighter (1560kg) than the Mercedes (1655kg).
EVO pits both of them around the track and decides which is faster against the clock. This is going to be a close one.
