The reviews we’ve seen so far of the Ferrari 488 GTB have unanimously praised the fact that the twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine sounds like a naturally aspirated unit.
That’s doubled by the fact that it pulls even better than the naturally aspirated V8 from its predecessor, the 458 Italia. Speaking of which, MotorTrend’s Angus Mackenzie got to drive it before getting in the 488 GTB in order to better assess the progress made by Ferrari’s supercar.
Needless to say, he was delighted about the 488 GTB’s handling both of Ferrari’s Fiorano test track and on the country roads around Maranello. But how big a step forward is the 488 GTB compared to the 458 Italia? A pretty big one according to the review posted below.
