A Baja Trophy truck needs to cope with taking huge bumps and high speeds, so its springs are soft and travel is plentiful. Take it on smooth tarmac you learn a valuable lesson about suspension movement and inertia.

This year a Baja 1000 truck was taken up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it pleased the crowds with its tail-out antics. The spongy springs add to the spectacle.

Another bit of Goodwood-style entertainment was provided by famed racing driver Jean Ragnotti. He not only drove the wheels off a Renault5 Maxi rally car, but he did three perfect 360-spins as he made his way up.

Other highlights include the Nissan Juke “fastest two wheel smile” and the NASCAR burnout.
