Remember those Hot Wheels tracks play-sets that catapulted toy cars in the air and provoked “incredible” tricks and massive miniature crashes? Well, this stunt is sort of like that, only more impressive.
The key difference here, in the real world, is that nobody wants to see a crash (maybe only the kids), because the acrobatics are way cooler and more magnificent, as they seem to defy the basic rules of physics.
Take for instance 11-time Monster Jam World Finals Champion, Tom Meents, as he performs a double backflip with a 1500 HP Monster Truck that weighs 10,500 pounds (4,762 kg). A regular backflip with such a vehicle is obviously not impressive enough.
Just for the record, there are BMX riders that struggle to do a double backflip.
So, if you were a kid playing with die-cast toys back in the day and someone told you that outrageous stunts are impossible to execute in the real world, they were totally wrong, apparently. Mom!
