No matter where you are in the world, you’re bound to know that the Audi S8 is a very special luxury car.
The original model came out in 1996 and it soon became the benchmark for the ultra-fast, handy (AWD) luxury German saloon. Back then, neither the 7 Series nor the S-Class came with all wheel drive, and that’s saying a lot.
Now, the D4 S8 is as beautiful as always. It’s packed full of tech, it’s extremely comfortable and predictable to drive and when you point it in the right direction and get on the throttle, it will absolutely fly.
In terms of performance, the Audi S8 4.0 TFSI Quattro has 519 PS and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, allowing it to get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.1 seconds. That’s almost annoyingly fast. Well, annoying for the opposition.
It hits the 100 km/h mark just as fast as a Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe – and that one has more power and a lot more torque. It’s just 0.2 seconds off the pace of the E63 AMG S!
So naturally when we saw it looking this good, all white with gloss black custom ADV08 Track Spec SL wheels, we just had to share it with you guys.
Those wheels measure 21″ by the way, which is pretty much as high as you can go on a car such as this S8. Any bigger and it would look too much like it was on display at some second rate tuning show.
