The refreshed Mercedes-Benz A-Class lineup is now available to order in Germany, with prices seeing a slight increase compared to the previous version.
The 2016 A-Class starts from €23,746.45 in Germany (including 19 percent), which is the price of the entry-level A 160 with 102PS (101hp). On a side note, I would be grateful if someone could explain to me why Mercedes-Benz doesn’t round off prices.
Depending on the model, the facelifted A-Class costs between €184.45 and €892.50 more than corresponding pre-facelift models. The biggest price increase is for the Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic. The first models will arrive in dealerships at the end of September.
The A-Class’ makeover has brought subtle styling updates, more power for the Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic and new equipment including Dynamic Select, suspension with Adaptive Damping System and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink.
Refreshed 2016 A-Class models are now available in a fresh Elbaite Green metallic color, with another update being the addition of the more aggressive-looking “Motorsport Edition” special edition model.
“Motorsport Edition” models feature styling cues from the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team, whose petrol green color adorns areas of the front and rear bumper trim, the rim flanges of the AMG light-alloy wheels, and interior elements such as the surrounds of the air vents and the contrasting topstitching.
The “Motorsport Edition” is available for all engine variants from A 200/A 200d upwards (except the Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic). Depending on the engine variant, the special edition model adds betwee €4849.25 and €6307.00 to the starting price.
Finally, the range-topping Mercedes-AMG A 45 4Matic, which gets an additional 20hp for 2016, is priced from €51,051.
