Even though it’s safe to say we’ll never see this thing enter production, a sportier version of the Superb Combi would make for a really good looking family station wagon.

Visually, the Skoda Superb Combi vRS has custom bumpers, bulkier wheel arches, modified tailpipes, a more aggressive hood and a set of awesome looking wheels.

Of course, the non-sporty Superb Combi is a good looking car as well – especially the one from the early press release images. But fans of Skoda’s vRS models probably wouldn’t mind a more dynamic-looking exterior to go with the 2.0 TSI 280 PS engine.

As always, the reason why Skoda isn’t trying to entice us with a Superb vRS is because of poor demand. It’s not that they wouldn’t enjoy building one or that they wouldn’t be proud of it – it’s just that there’s no demand for one at the moment.

Creating demand can be risky, especially in a segment where nobody’s doing a particularly sporty estate. Besides, the Superb’s 2.0 TSI 280 PS engine is already more capable, at least on paper, than what most of their rivals are doing. The fastest Ford Mondeo Sportback you can buy has a 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine with 240 HP.

In terms of performance, we don’t really need a Superb vRS, Combi or otherwise. In terms of looks however, a more aggressive exterior will never fail to impress.
