No, this BMW 1-Series five-door hatchback did not attempt suicide by drowning in the beautiful waters of the Greek island of Folegandros.
What reportedly happened here last week is that the owner of the German compact model seemingly forgot to engage the handbrake and the car ended up rolling straight into the blue Aegean waters, to the surprise (perhaps…to the amusement as well) of beach-goers.
After the initial shock, swimmers came to the BMW’s rescue slowly, but safely pushing it to shore before it really drowned.
The local reports did not mention whether anyone tried to revive the 1-Series hatch with a mouth-to-tailpipe resuscitation.
