So the new Giulia is out, filling a hole left in the Alfa Romeo range since the 159 was phased out. But does it look any better than its arguably very different predecessor, a car widely acknowledged to be quite handsome?
We can’t really judge them properly yet, as Alfa has only shown the hottest Quadrifoglio Verde variant and the 159 never had anything like that, but a side-by-side photo comparo is revealing.
This is obviously a preliminary endeavor, as most of us haven’t seen it in the metal, therefor, we can’t credibly comment as to its aesthetic appeal. However, it is strikingly different to its predecessor and we’d like to ask you if you think the new styling direction is the right way to go.
The 159 has a much more sculptural quality about the way it looks, whereas the Giulia is pure muscle – bulging would be the word to describe it.
We put together a photo comparo to more accurately gauge the differences and it’s posted after the virtual jump.
