In the land that loves diesels, if you’re not entirely pleased with the performance of a BMW 435d xDrive, all you have to do is ask (and pay) G-Power for an enticing boost.
Now, in factory trim, the 435d xDrive with its 313PS (309hp) and 630Nm (465 lb-ft) 3.0-liter straight-six diesel is already a very fast car hitting 100km/h (62mph) in just 4.7 sec (that’s between the E92 M3’s 4.6 seconds with a dual-clutch transmission and 4.8 seconds with a manual gearbox), so any improvements just make it even more ballistic.
What G-Power suggests for better performance is a new software upgrade that gives the inline-six diesel an extra 67PS and 125Nm of torque bringing the total to 380PS (375hp) and 755Nm (557 lb-ft).
While the horsepower figure won’t blow your mind away, peak torque should, because it’s not only way more than what you get from the latest M3 / M4 (550Nm or 406 lb-ft), but the M5 as well (680Nm or 501 lb-ft). Heck, it’s almost as much G-Power’s monstrous M5 V10 HURRICANE RR (780Nm or 575 lb-ft).
You can top G-Power’s ECU performance upgrade with their 20-inch Hurricanes RR forged alloy wheels.
