If you were curious to see more of the world’s fastest R35 Nissan GT-R, then watching this video will definitely quench your thirst for speed.
What you also get to see is footage from the Alpha Omega’s record-breaking run where it covered a 1/4 mile in just 7.48 seconds, doing 310.55 km/h (192.96 mph).
This particular run looked like it was going to be a winner as soon as the car set off. The start was as clean as you could hope for and of course, the rest was history. It’s absolutely amazing to watch a regular road car car accelerate this fast.
Once it starts “cruising” at really (really!) high speeds, it would leave even regular modern-day airliners behind, as long as they don’t become air born. To give you an example, a standard Boeing 737 passenger jet has a takeoff speed of 250 km/h (150 mph) while a larger model like say an Airbus A340 needs to be doing about 290 km/h (180 mph).
In fact, if you really give the AMS GT-R some room, it will outrun a freaking Concorde – which has a takeoff speed of 360 km/h (225 mph). Of course, unlike the Concorde, the Nissan GT-R is still with us…it’s a living legend, not just a legend.
Another awesome fact is the that the AMS Alpha Omega looks almost stock with very few extra bits added on for aerodynamic and safety purposes.
Beneath its looks though, this GT-R is anything but stock. It’s packing no fewer than 2,000 HP, going towards all four wheels thanks to the AWD system.
Note: the car’s custom AWD Controller allows the driver to temporarily disengage the front wheels so that he can warm up the tires by doing burnouts.
