Infiniti’s rival for the Audi A3, BMW 1-Series and Mercedes-Benz A-Class shows some more “skin” in a spy photo taken in Prague, where the compact model reportedly posed for a commercial.
Published by Czech website Auto, the photo is even more intriguing than the previous shot which showed the front end. Why, you ask? Well, from this angle the car looks even more crossover-ish, due to the generous ground clearance and black cladding on the rear bumper.
That means the upcoming Infiniti QX30 crossover, which uses the same platform with the Q30, will have to look significantly more rugged in order to be distinguished from its sibling.
There are no official details yet, but the 2.2d badge spotted on the first official photo suggests the Infiniti Q30 will feature Mercedes’ 168hp 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Both the Q30 and QX30 will be built at Nissan’s Sunderland factory in the UK and exported all over the world, including North America and China.
