Lexus released new footage of its awesome hoverboard concept alongside pro skater Ross McGouran.
It’s official, we are in the future. Not only that, but “Back To The Future” actually got it right; the hoverboard exists in 2015. Granted, it’s still a long way from mass production, but that doesn’t make it less of an achievement.
Well, at least we hope it exists, because we can’t really tell if the hoverboard featured in the teaser is real or not. However, McGouran describes it as a unique experience, stating that “It literally feels like I’m starting all over again from the beginning”.
Seeing Ross McGouran sliding his hand underneath it, does reset the brain – which has a hard comprehending that the entire device is practically levitating, floating. And we bet riding it is hard to comprehend too, since it doesn’t have any friction.
The board works by using magnetic levitation with liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and permanent magnets to obtain the frictionless movement. Well, that explains the haze coming from it.
