This right here is the 426-cubic-inch Gen III Hemi unit and regardless of that burnout almost turning into a spin, we’re still blown away by how amazing this car sounds.
Just listen to it idle…can we get that on a ringtone? The Mopar Challenger Drag Pak is pure American Muscle and thankfully the guy behind the wheel kept it from spinning into that tent nearby.
And yes, the burnout itself was a complete success, at least initially. But come on, you’ve got to be able to hold the car steady without losing the rear, otherwise you’re looking at a lot of people fake-clapping you.
Now, you’ve probably already read all about this car, but just to recap, the Drag Pak includes modified front and rear fascia trim, a redesigned roll cage, Mopar gauge pack, lightweight racing seats, safety net and five-point harness.
The naturally aspirated 426 Race Hemi engine does come with custom calibration as it also gets an upgraded automatic transmission.
Underneath, the suspension features a unique Mopar K-Member and custom geometry at the front with a four-link Panhard bar suspension at the rear.
In terms of price, you’re looking at $99,426 for the 426 version, which by the..sound of it, is money well spent.
