If you’re among those lucky US customers who have ordered a 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, you’ll be happy to know that the first shipment of Japanese roadsters has safely arrived in the States. The cars will begin their port processing procedures and deliveries will follow in the next several weeks.

If you haven’t placed an order for the new Miata but would like to, there are plenty of models to choose from.

The base Sport model starts from $24,915 (excluding $820 destination) and offers standard features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, LED headlights and tail lights, Bluetooth phone pairing and audio streaming, leather-wrapped shift knob, power door locks, and single USB input. The 155hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine is mated to a six-speed SKYACTIV-MT manual transmission, with an automatic transmission available as a $1,075 option.

Mazda also offers better equipped MX-5 Club and MX-5 Grand Touring models. Focused on performance, the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Club starts from $28,600 and adds 17-inch gunmetal alloy wheels, front air dam and trunk-mounted rear lip spoiler, piano black seat back bars and exterior mirror caps, as well as the Mazda ConnectTM infotainment system which includes a seven-inch touchscreen and an AM/FM/HD/SiriusXM satellite radio with a nine-speaker BOSE audio system with headrest speakers.

For models equipped with the standard manual transmission, the MX-5 Club also comes with a limited-slip rear differential, Bilstein shocks and shock-tower brace.

Finally, the range-topping 2016 Mazda MX-5 Grand Touring, priced from $30,065, adds 17-inch bright alloy wheels, leather-trimmed heated seats, automatic climate control, Homelink garage door opener, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive headlights and Mazda’s i-ACTIVSENSE suite of safety features including blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and lane-departure warning.
