Honda’s new HR-V petite crossover has just been priced from £17,995 in the UK, but you can end up paying £24,945 for one if you want all of the goodies and a diesel.
The base spec S trim comes with decent spec, meaning you get standard climate control, cruise control and auto headlights. Move up to SE for £19,745 and you gain a rain sensor, rear parking array and a better audio system with six speakers.
It also brings standard dual-zone climate control which is operated through a new touch panel that replaces the conventional buttons.
Finally, top EX trim adds 17-inch alloys, full leather interior, keyless access and go, as well as a rear view camera. Its party trick is the tilt-and-slide panoramic sunroof.
The choice of engines is limited to two, but both sound like strong choices for a vehicle this size. You can either go for the 130 PS 1.5-liter petrol or the strong 1.6-liter diesel with 120 PS. Each can either be mated to a six-speed manual or continuously variable auto transmission.
Order books are open now with first deliveries expected to commence in late August.
