Acura has yet to launch a production variant of the NSX, but has revealed new details about it. Annoying, isn’t it? The Japanese car manufacturer showcased three mid-engine beauties ah The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering – one of the most exclusive events at Monterey’s Car Week.

The three cars presented to the public came in different factory specifications and Acura was keen to present the plethora of options and the multiple ways a NSX can be commissioned.

Mind you, this just goes to show that Acura’s new baby is not only about performance (although it sure doesn’t seem like it), but a blend of taste delicacy, panache and… performance.

That said, the Valencia Red Pearl example is the only one that doesn’t want to prove anything. It doesn’t have a carbon fiber exterior package, a carbon fiber engine cover, or a carbon fiber roof. It even lacks a carbon interior package, but it has all the creature comforts, including power sport seats, an alcantara headliner and an ELS Studio Audio and Technology Package with 9 speakers, satellite radio and whatnot.

Granted the other two cars (Nouvelle Blue Pearl and Berlina Black) sport the same options, but with the added carbon-fiber packages to prove they’re sportier than sport. Carbon fiber front spoiler, side sills, diffuser and exhaust finisher? Check.

Carbon fiber front, side and rear engine covers? Check. Carbon fiber meter visor, steering garnish, aluminum foot rest and sport pedals? Check.

All in all, they’re all great cars and the coolest thing is that we just got some new photos with the NSX to drool over.
