This is a German, limited-edition McLaren 650S Spider.
You don’t need to read the sentence again, because the statement is correct – you are looking at a special McLaren that was enhanced in Surrey, but nursed at Dorr Motorsport, based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Dörr Motorsport is the racing division of German McLaren dealer, Dörr. In fact, it’s not uncommon for a dealer or a tuner to participate in a racing series in Germany.
Anyway, the blokes came up with this stunning 1 of only 8 built “Nurburgring 650S Spider”. The car is a very exclusive edition created by Dörr to celebrate their pole position achievement at last year’s ADAC Zurich 24-hour Nurburgring race.
Kevin Estre took the pole at the wheel of a MP4-12C GT3, qualifying almost seven seconds ahead its direct competitor, with a time of 8:10:921 minutes. A blistering performance, given the fact the course included the GP-Strecke short-track making a massive 25.378 km combined lap.
So, what’s so special about this 650S, apart from being Dörr’s halo car? Well it comes bearing bespoke decorations of the team’s achievement on the carbon fiber side skirts and it sports a plaque with the driver’s signature signaling its exclusivity. The rest was done by McLaren’s own MSO boutique, and the modifications consist of many goodies, including: carbon fiber rear diffuser, orange seatbelts, carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber interior trim, stealth McLaren Logo, special orange-painted brake calipers and decorative stitching and fittings.
If you hurry, maybe there’s still a chance you can get one for about € 330,000. That’s $369,608.
