Chasing Alfas is like chasing girls: it’s not that hard when you’re experienced and have a good car.
Seriously, though, it’s been a while since I’ve seen an adrenaline pumping video like this one. As you might know, Alfa’s sedan superstar has been spotted stretching its legs at the Nurburgring before. In fact, we actually featured the beast munching asphalt like there’s no tomorrow on the Green Hell.
That said, the main protagonist in the video shows us an awesome alternative on how to chase prototypes. Literally!
Driving a 2015 Seat Leon ST Cupra 280, the driver managed to stay fairly close to the 503 horsepower Alfa Romeo Giulia QV. A staggering achievement considering the power deficit of the Leon, although the driver admits – at one point – that he was struggling to keep up with it. Nonetheless he manages to stick to the Alfa like glue, offering us a formidable video in the process.
Mind you, the Giulia in the video remains a test car at best, and probably is constrained by certain limitations to the chassis, engine, power delivery or whatever. That or the man racing the Leon is a darn good driver.
