With hints of Aston Martin, Jaguar and even Cadillac in its design, the Hyundai Vision G concept ticked many positive visual boxes. However, it will not be put into production as a model in and of itself, as it’s apparently more of a design language preview than anything else.
That hasn’t stopped Theophilus Chin from slapping on two extra doors in the rear, stretching the wheelbase and just generally working towards making it look like a production car.
His vision for this car was it rivaling the Mercedes CLS or BMW’s 6-Series GranCoupe.
But would a Hyundai, even one that handles well, has punchy engines, an above average (premium in this case) interior and looked like this rendering ever turn buyers away from the German brands?
I think the styling on the Vision G is so good that it could really claw back some of the gap in experience and tradition in the field and be a primary reason for buying the car.
After all, you buy something in this space of the market to be seen in it, as a status symbol, and since this ditches the Hyundai badge for something people may mistake for a Bentley – it does the job of looking premium very well with or without it.
