Analyzing the look of the upcoming Bentley Bentayga, then taking a glance at the EXP 9F concept whose design they ditched, we wonder what Rolls Royce Will do with the styling of its upcoming SUV.
We make this comparison because the two brands are inseparable, really, and do often get mentioned in the same company. It’s therefor fair to assume that Rolls has carefully gauged the reaction of the internet to the Bentayga, and this will factor into their final design decisions.
We previously saw a rendering of what a conservatively-styled Rolls high-rider would look like, well now it’s time for one that is much more daring. It is an echo of the EXP 9F concept that Bentley showed but which was dissed by the scene and thus dropped in favor of a more generic shape.
Now that it’s nearly here, and having been revealed via a Chinese scale model, people seem to not be very impressed with the Bentayga. Internet opinions probably don’t really factor into the decision making process for these exclusive manufacturers, but even so, we don’t want the car from the first rendering, we would much rather have the one posted below enter production.
There hasn’t been a properly decadent-looking uber-luxury SUV since the stillborn Spyker Paris to Peking, so maybe Rolls can step in and offer some proper old-world opulence.
