Dacia will showcase an updated Duster at the Frankfurt Motor Show, along with a special edition model called Duster Urban Explorer.

The changes for the 2016 model year are mainly related to new equipment, but the Duster also gets enhanced looks thanks to new black diamond-effect 16-inch alloy wheels and a new Altaï Green body color that replaces the existing Olive Grey hue.

Inside, the Dacia Duster gets two new trim options (Silicon black and Féderer grey on black), which feature discreet grey topstitching. Entry-level models will be offered with Silicon black upholstery, while higher-spec cars will come with Féderer grey on black.

Another change is the addition of a new Platinum Grey trim which replaces the former Cosmos Grey. Depending on market and version, the Platinum Grey trim is applied to the inner door panels, door handles and center console trim.

Dacia has also introduced a new equipment package for the Duster which was previously available on limited-edition Anniversary versions. The Media-Nav Evolution multimedia navigation is now available on selected versions of the Duster Édition 2016. Furthermore, a reversing camera will also be available as an option.

The Media-Nav Evolution multimedia navigation system offers smartphone connectivity via a dedicated app which gives drivers full in-car access to their multimedia library. The vehicle is equipped with steering wheel-mounted controls that provide access to Apple’s SIRI voice recognition (available on iPhone 4S models and above).

Finally, the 2016MY Dacia Duster gets a new limited-edition version called Duster Urban Explorer which features the Baroudeur and Look Packs. The Baroudeur pack consists of side protective moldings for the lower part of the bodywork and wheel arches and new diamond-effect black wheels.

The Look Pack adds Dark Metal door mirror housings, front and rear skid plates, door sills and roof rails, plus extra-tinted rear glass. Inside, the Duster Urban Explorer features a leather-trimmed steering wheel and the Media-Nav Evolution navigation system.
