Facelifted Bentley Mulsanne Coming To Geneva Show Next Year

Bentley wants to make its Mulsanne flagship sedan more appealing to the super rich which is why the model will get a refresh early next year.

It will reportedly debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, sporting a squarer front end with a wider, more upright grille, restyled headlights and three big air intakes in the bumper. As spy photos have shown, the Mulsanne will also get a long-wheelbase version to go with the facelift.

“Wait for the next motor shows to come and what we have to announce, but I can tell you that we are taking close care about the Mulsanne,” Bentley CEO Wolfgang Durheimer was quoted as saying by Automobile Magazine. “Mulsanne will get further derivatives, and we are going to enlarge this beautiful flagship model line,” the executive added.

The first of the Mulsanne derivatives will most likely be the Mulsanne Grand Convertible, which is expected to arrive in early 2017, a year after the launch of the facelifted Mulsanne sedan.

Durheimer confirmed that Bentley dealers are already taking orders for the Grand Convertible. “We have some important customers that are waiting for this car. It will be very exciting for us to have this car on the market. I think it fits very well and we are keen to do it,” the CEO said.

The production-spec Bentley Mulsanne Grand Convertible should be unveiled at an auto show in late 2016, possibly in Los Angeles.
