Here’s the first official video with the production version of the Fiat Aegea compact sedan study, which will be called Egea.
Uploaded by Fiat Turkey, the video teases the exterior and interior design of the new model, although it’s clear the car looks exactly like the Aegea concept. In fact, Fiat’s Turkish arm posted photos of the study on its commercial website and just had the name on the plates modified in Photoshop (see gallery).
The compact sedan is 4.5m (14.7 ft) long, 1.78m (5.8 ft) wide and 1.48m (4.8 ft) high, with a 2.64m (8.66 ft) wheelbase. Luggage capacity is a generous 510 liters (18 cu.ft).
The Fiat Egea will be offered with two MultiJet II turbo diesel units and two petrol units with outputs ranging from 95hp and 120hp. Depending on the engine, the transmission will be either a manual or an automatic. The most economical model will be one of the diesels, which should return 4 l/100 km (70.6 mpg UK or 58.8 mpg US).
The Fiat Egea is expected to officially debut in November.
