The all-new Jaguar XF impressed journos present at its launch venue in Spain. It was appreciated for its firm but not uncomfortable ride, characterful V6 engine, excellent infotainment and the promise of great efficiency depending on power plant choice.
KBB had a go in the V6 S model, with 340 hp and all-wheel drive. The car impressed primarily through the way it drove and apparently it is now the stiffest car in the sector, along with the new Cadillac CTS.
However, the reviewer does point out that this is not necessarily a negative, and that both cars will be acceptable for most drivers in terms of ride comfort.
Jaguar will also offer the XF with a 2.0-liter Ingenium diesel engine in Europe, although that has not been confirmed for the US. It could be, though, as rivals all offer a diesel variant in this class and price sector.
