After hearing about unofficial UK prices on the new X1 back in August, BMW has now officially released pricing on their second-generation ‘baby’ SUV.
The new X1 goes on sale in the United Kingdom on 24 October available with one petrol and three diesel units, each with 2.0-liter displacement and four-cylinders.
Prices start from £26,780 for the front-wheel drive (a first for BMW’s X range) X1 sDrive18d that comes with a 150PS (148hp) 2.0L diesel. If you can wait until November, the same model will be available in xDrive18d form with all-wheel drive priced at £29,830
The other two diesel options are the 190PS (187hp) xDrive20d from November 2015, and the fastest model in the range, the xDrive25d with 231PS that costs £36,060 and runs to 62mph (100km/h) from standstill in 6.6 seconds.
If you insist on petrol engines, your only choice at the moment is the 192PS (189hp) xDrive20i priced from £31,225.
Aside from the xDrive20i petrol and the xDrive25d that come with a standard 8-speed Steptronic automatic, the other models get a standard 6-speed manual gearbox with the 8sp automatic offered as an option.
You can choose from four different trims, including the standard spec model, the xLine, the Sport Line and M Sport, with the latter being the most impressive looking one featuring different bumpers, spoilers, 18-inch or optionally, 19-inch wheels, LED headlamps, headliner in Anthracite and sport front seats in anthracite-colored cloth and Alcantara with blue accents.
