There are rare cars then there are really rare cars. The Lamborghini Veneno clearly belongs to the second category, as only three coupes and nine roadsters were built.
It’s not surprising then that everyone goes crazy when one appears on the street. It happened recently in Beverly Hills, California, where a stunning matte black Veneno Roadster with bright green accents was caught on video while cruising down Rodeo Drive.
Unfortunately, traffic was heavy that day so we don’t get to hear the roar of the 740hp 6.5-liter V12 engine and witness its fantastic acceleration. Still, it was a spectacular sight that got all the attention from pedestrians and other drivers.
The Veneno Roadster is capable to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 355 km/h (221 mph). Each of the nine cars built in 2014 was priced at €3.3 million ($3.68 million).
