The Renault Twingo is now available with an optional EDC six-speed dual-clutch transmission, as well as a Cosmic limited edition model that brings styling and equipment updates.
The limited edition Twingo Cosmic marks the introduction of the EDC dual clutch transmission to the Twingo range. Mated to the TCe 90 petrol engine, this automatic gearbox enables an average fuel consumption of 4.8 l/100 km (58.8 mpg UK or 49 mpg US) and CO2 emissions of 107 g/km. The EDC transmission can be ordered starting this month in France for TCe 90-powered Twingos for a price of €1,100.
Based on the Intens trim level, the Renault Twingo Cosmic adds exclusive exterior upgrades including 16-inch Ultraviolet or black diamond-effect alloy wheels, a new Ultraviolet body color, electrically adjustable door mirrors with Étoilé Black housings, specific side decals and Cosmic badging.
Inside, the limited edition Twingo Cosmic gets specific leather and fabric upholstery with Ultraviolet piping, as well as anodized Ultraviolet interior trim details on the steering wheel, air vents and center console surround.
In terms of equipment, the Twingo Cosmic’s standard features include automatic climate control, rain and light sensors, rear parking assist, electric, heated door mirrors, central stowage, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, Premium carpet mats front and rear, and front door sill guards.
Also offered as standard are the Connect R&GO radio and the R&GO multimedia application, which allow occupants to hook up to the vehicle using their mobile phone.
Renault says the limited edition Twingo Cosmic’s equipment package represents a saving to customers of €950 in France. The limited edition city car can already be ordered in France with all the engines available for the Twingo lineup, with prices starting from €14,200 for the version with the SCe 70 engine.
